Certified by the Forestry Stewardship Council (FSC) you are assured that only wood from fully matured teak trees was used, that it can from teak plantations that utilize recognized sustainable forestry methods, and that engage in fair trade practices. As a prized wood for outdoor applications, it is important that only the most environmentally friendly systems be used.
The dining table is solid teak, buffed and polished with its own oils to enhance its beauty and to increase its resistance to water, insects, and the elements. Because this is genuine outdoor furniture, it is not necessary to take added precautions to protect it. Teak does develop a lustrous patina over time which protects it further, but if you prefer the original color, an occasional cleaning and polishing with our teak wood cleaning kit is recommended.
Each chair is individually crafted then assembled, and tested for strength and flaws in the wood. Once inspection has been passed, it is shipped. All the chairs have five settings and they are stackable for storage convenience. Seat cushions covered with top-of-the-line Sunbrella fabric are available if requested.
